Episcopalians Don't See The Light

The chief bishop of the Episcopal church is condemning Israel for defending themselves. And, the same leader of the Episcopalian Church still can't figure out why we dropped atomic bombs on Japan. I guess, this Episcopalian leader was not required to read history of WWII. This does not surprise me much.

Most colleges do not teach history anymore. A good reading of history will reveal that we would have lost thousands of troops if we tried to invade the Japanese homeland. So, we dropped two atomic bombs and ended the long and costly war. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, bombed all our bases in the Pacific, killed and tortured our soldiers, and enslaved millions all across the Pacific. And in the end, they paid a terrible price for their aggression. Regardless, war is hell.

Without history to look back on people will not know the way to go forward.

Yeah, we actually saved lives.
And the US killed more on the fire bombing campaigns than both Bombs combined.
The aftermath of the incendiary bombings lead to an estimated 100,000 Japanese dead. This may have been the most devasting single raid ever carried out by aircraft in any war including the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And if we didn't event the A-bomb, Germany was on it's way.

Too bad there are always civilian deaths. I keep realizing there will be no real lasting peace in the world until He comes. (keep looking up!
